Library Makerspace
We’re excited to be able to offer our community a variety of tools to spark curiosity and creativity. Just in time for our Summer Reading Program’s “Color Our World” art theme, our Makerspace is officially open for use!
We offer an assortment of equipment – some you can use on your own and some that the library staff will use on your behalf or will assist you with. You can also just reserve the space to work on your own projects on your own portable equipment. Please view our policy here: https://northlakecountylibrary.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Makerspace-Use-and-Equipment-Policy.pdf for all of the details. And see above for request and waiver forms.
Fees
The library charges minimal fees to cover the costs of some of the materials for specialized equipment. Free Makerspace programs occur throughout the year in which all program supplies are included.
Brother PrintModa: Fabric Roll printable cotton: $15 per yard (minimum 1/8 yard)
3D Prints: $0.05 per gram of filament used
You must supply your own materials for all other pieces of equipment. Printable fabric sheets are allowed in the Brother PrintModa.
