Kanopy is a video streaming solution offering access to more than 30,000 documentaries, movies, and educational videos from thousands of producers such as Criterion Collection, PBS, Great Courses, Kino Lorber and more!
We have decided to add Kanopy to our digital resources. A few things to note as we begin using this service: You are allowed 5 videos per month. Once you click to start a movie the library is charged $2 and you use one of your credits. You have 72 hours of access to that movie. Kanopy Kids charges the library $5 per user but you can access all Kanopy Kids materials for 30 days. The Great Courses videos charge the library’s account $5 and you get access to that course for 30 days. You can click on the image to read descriptions before clicking to start any video. Search for the film in Google to watch a trailer. You can also create a list. We can see how long a video is watched, so if we find that many people are starting a movie and just exiting it will be difficult for us to keep the service. To access Kanopy, just click on the logo to the left and enter your library card number. If you don’t have a library card, contact us.
