Library Renovation FAQ
- WHEN WILL THE LIBRARY BE OPEN? Our grand reopening is Wednesday, February 14th at 9 a.m. and we will be open for all services at that time.
- WHEN CAN WE START RESERVING THE MEETING ROOM? You may start reserving the meeting room now for reservations starting February 14, 2024.
- ARE YOU HIRING? We have filled all of our open positions and are not hiring at this time. Watch our website and social media for future job postings.
- DO SOME BOOKS REALLY HAVE A MARCH 1, 2024 DUE DATE? Yes! All of our 28-day books now have extended due dates to March 1, 2024 (it was October 2, 2023). We hope you will continue to enjoy them and return them gradually as we reopen.
- WHEN WILL THE OUTSIDE BOOKDROP BE AVAILABLE? The construction crew is still working on the outside of our building and has not installed the exterior bookdrop for safety reasons. We will let you know once it is available.
- I HAVE ITEMS THAT ARE DUE BACK, WHAT DO I DO?! We’re fine free, plus NOTHING is due before February 14th. You’re doing us a favor by keeping your items until then. We will be very forgiving on items and no fines will accrue on books, movies, audiobooks, and magazines – because we’re fine free. We would like to see the hotspots returned on or shortly after February 14th as there are many people waiting for them.
- I DIDN’T GET MY HOLDS PICKED UP BEFORE YOU CLOSED, CAN I STILL GET THEM? Yes, you will have February 14th – February 16th to pickup holds that would have expired. In fairness to our Partners, we will send back any that are due to go back on February 20th.
- CAN I CHECK OUT ITEMS, PICKUP HOLDS, USE THE COMPUTER, ETC. DURING THE TOURS ON FEBRUARY 13TH? No. We will not allow any services on February 13th. The only thing you will be allowed to do is return items to our book drops. Our official opening date is February 14th for all services.
