For the past 20 years, my wife and I have proudly called Polson home. With a combined 45 years in education, we have dedicated our lives to fostering learning and growth in our communities. Since 2015 I have served on the library board, playing a key role in shaping the future of the Polson Library.

I was on the board for the hiring of our library’s current director, ensuring a strong vision for its development. As chairman of the board and a member of the advisory committee, I helped guide the library through a transformative remodel, enhancing its services and facilities for future generations.

Passionate about community engagement and lifelong learning, I remain committed to advancing the library’s mission. I look forward to continuing my work with the Polson community, helping to prepare the library for the challenges and opportunities of the future.

I have served on the library Board of Trustees since 2014. I would like to serve another term. I am a retired insurance agent and was an accountant before that. As a result of my careers I bring some special skills to the board.

During my terms of office many wonderful things have happened at the library. The most recent is the remodel of our facility. If you haven’t seen the beautiful new library you owe it to yourself to stop in and enjoy the wonderful space. I served as the liaison to the Library Foundation while they did the fundraising for the project and I took part in the hard work they did. I also served on the Building Committee for the trustees. We worked with the architects and contractors to ensure that the project met our expectations and the needs of the community.

I believe that our library is a very special place in this community and hope to continue to serve as a member of the Board of Trustees. Thanks for your consideration.

As a lifelong bookworm and literacy advocate, I believe that the quality of life within a community is strongly impacted by the quality of its libraries. I am running for the Library Board of Trustees because I have always seen the library as a community hub, and want to serve all Lake County residents by reinforcing that their opinions are valuable, their board members are honest and transparent, and their library has their best interests in mind.

I live in Polson with my husband and daughter, have 15 years of experience working as an engineer for a consulting firm, and believe that insatiable curiosity and creative problem-solving are two of my most valuable qualities. Thank you for your consideration.

As a lifelong resident of Polson and a proud graduate of Polson High School, I have a deep-rooted connection to our community and its library. My early experiences working at the library during high school fostered a lasting appreciation for the role it plays in education, enrichment, and connection. My passion for libraries continued while earning my undergraduate degree in nursing, I also worked at my university’s library, further strengthening my commitment to literacy, access to information, and community engagement. Now, as a nurse manager at St. Luke Community Healthcare and a mother of four boys, I understand firsthand the importance of strong public resources that serve families, students, and lifelong learners alike.

For the past eight years, I have had the privilege of serving on the Library Board of Trustees, working to support and enhance library services. I am committed to ensuring that our library remains a vibrant and welcoming space for all, adapting to the evolving needs of our community. With a master’s degree in nursing and business, I bring leadership, strategic planning, and advocacy skills that help guide the library’s future. I believe in the power of community service and would be honored to continue serving as a trustee. I appreciate your support and look forward to continuing to serve our library and our community.
