North Lake County Public Library Offers Free Technology Classes

ARTICLE PUBLISHED August 10, 2011, Valley Journal and August 18, 2011, Lake County Leader

(POLSON)---The North Lake County Public Library technology classes are in full swing this summer. Earlier this year, the library received a grant through the Montana State Library that has allowed it to hire a full-time Technology Training Specialist to assist users with different technology applications.   The grant also supplied six laptops for training purposes that can be used onsite or at other locations throughout the area.

The library has been holding class sessions since the beginning of June, and has gradually increased the offerings based on public demand. During August, the library will host seven class sessions on topics ranging from Computer Fundamentals to Social Media applications. The library also encourages users who want one-on-one training or have questions regarding technology to stop by and visit with the technology trainer.

NLCPL Technology Trainer Trevor Gonser teaches a group of students in the library meeting room. These regularly scheduled classes are free to the general public. For a full schedule of offerings visit northlakecountylibrary.org or call 883-8225.
