March 2015 Computer Classes Offered
Free technology classes are being offered at North Lake County Public Library in Polson during the month of March. Space is limited, so please call the library at 406-883-8225 to register.
Tuesday, March 10 (3:00-4:00 pm): MontanaLibrary2Go for Kindles:
If you are wondering how to get library books onto your Kindle, this is the class for you! You will learn how to navigate MontanaLibrary2Go, place holds, remove books from your Kindle if you finish them early, and how to filter and sort books so you see only what is available for your device. Please bring your Amazon.com login information with you to the class.
Thursday, March 12 (11:30-12:30): MontanaLibrary2Go for Nooks:
Would you like to put library books onto your Nook? Come find out at this free class! You will learn how to navigate MontanaLibrary2Go, place holds, renew items, and how to sort and filter books so you see only what is available for your device.
Saturday, March 14 (11:00 – noon): iPad Basics:
If you just got a new iPad, or are having difficulties figuring out how to navigate and use your current device, this is the class for you! This free session will teach you how to combine apps into categories, navigate the app store, connect to WiFi when you are on the go, and other helpful tips! Please bring your Apple ID with you to the class if you would like to use the App store.
Wednesday, March 18 (11:30-12:30): Computers 101:
This class is an introduction to basic computer use for those with little or no experience. You will learn basic computer terminology, how to use a mouse, turn on and shut down your computer, create a simple Word document, and save files to a flash drive or your hard drive.
As always, if you see a class you'd like to take, but can't make it at the scheduled time, please call the library for an individual free session. The library is located at #2 First Ave. E. in Polson.
